To Lease or Not To Lease…That Is The Question

Standard

I know what you might be thinking, because I was thinking the same thing,

Leasing a vehicle is a total waste of money!

Or……

Leases just aren’t as good as they used to be.

I thought the same thing until recently, that is, until I leased my first vehicle.

I was looking at a Cadillac ATS, which is Cadillac’s new smaller luxury car.

I found one that I liked, and it was a pretty good deal, so I thought I would take a look at what it would cost to purchase one.  After running the numbers with the Finance Manager at Carr Vancouver, it turned out that I wouldn’t be able to get one for the monthly budget I had set aside.

Fortunately, they had a great lease program going on, and after all was said and done, I got the Cadillac ATS that I wanted, at a price that I could afford, and even bumped up the annual mileage allowance to match my driving habits. (for not much more money)

There are a lot of great advantages to leasing a vehicle, especially if you are like me, and tend to want the latest and greatest every few years.

Sure, you never actually own the car, but when your lease is up, you can just drive up to the dealership, hand them your keys, and walk away if you choose to do so.  To me, that is a great option.

However, leasing is not for everybody, and you should determine whether you are a good or bad candidate for leasing.  Carr Vancouver has made it very easy to see if you are a lease candidate or if buying would be a better fit for you.  Take the Lease VS Buy assessment, and see if leasing might be a better option for you.

I definitely think leasing my Cadillac ATS was the best choice for me.

I hope this article was helpful to you.  If you know someone that is thinking about getting a new vehicle, and may be a good fit for a lease, have them contact Carr Vancouver.  They have some great leases going on right now, especially on GMC Terrains.

Here is my ATS below.
